It is my privilege and honor as Youth Pastor
here at Love Valley, to encourage teenagers to give their heart and life
to God at a young age and to turn away from the dangers and snares
of this world.
We serve a God who is far greater than
anything this world has to offer and it is our purpose as a Youth Group
to make an impact on this world for the glory of God. We are well aware of
all the adversity that faces a young person today, but we believe, according
to 1 John 4:4 "Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world." We
also believe that our teenagers can make a difference now. 1 Timothy
4:12 says, "Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers,
in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity." We
firmly believe that they can not only make a difference, but also be an example.
We believe that through their lives; being pure, walking upright, living
holy, that they can be an example to fellow Christians and a testimony
to this community, that there are still some teenagers who are not sold
out to the world, but to an Almighty God, of whom we will all one day
stand in judgment. As one preacher said, "If we do not make the church
of tomorrow the church of today, there will be no church of tomorrow."
I also express the same thought for
our teens to be active in the church today. Ultimately, it is our prayer
that we see a generation raised up out of old time religion, being
trained under the King James Bible, to become the leaders of tomorrow, but
also, leaders and servants for today.
In Christ Service,
Youth Pastor
